We are incredibly proud to be able to see a continued and rapid improvement in GCSE outcomes at St Andrew's in the 2026 results.

Progress 8 is a type of value added measure which compares pupils’ key stage 4 results to those of other pupils nationally with similar prior attainment from their KS2 results.  The Progress 8 at St Andrew's is excellent: +0.18, with a calculated +0.23 for 2026 outcomes. This clearly demonstrates that every child’s outcomes matter, and every child’s individual progress journey matters.

Students obtaining a 5+ in English and Maths is also demonstrating significant progress with 41% of students achieving a 5 or higher in English and math, up from 38% in 2025.

Attainment 8 is the total points allocated according to grades the pupil achieves across 8 qualifications including mathematics (double weighted) and English (double weighted), 3 further qualifications that count in the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) measure and 3 further qualifications subjects that are added together to give the Attainment 8 score.  The Attainment 8 school was 40.9 in 2023, 46.7 in 2024, 41.16 in 2025 and 43.6* in 2026. *Awaiting ratification

The percentage of pupils staying in education or entering employment within West Sussex in 2025 was 93.7%.  At St Andrew's 93.46% remained in education or entering employment, with 2.8% of the cohort unknown.
